Our Central Utah Preliminary that was held Saturday October 28, 2017 in Gunnison, Utah was a huge success. The contestants did an amazing job and our hostesses were great. The most exciting part for me was the People's Choice Award. At each of our Utah pageants one of the Theme Wear competition is based around the charity of our Hostesses choice. Ginny and Guinevere choose the When I Grow Up Theme Wear and Primary Children's Hospital was their charity that they wanted the money to go to. The contestants are told about the charity and they can raise money to go to that charity. The money is counted as votes $1 per vote and the contestant the has the most votes wins the People's Choice Crown.
I have always said that my pageant girls are always giving back to their communities either with volunteering time or raising money for amazing programs. And this Preliminary was no exeption to the rule. It is hard sometimes for the younger contestants to volunteer time, but raising money is something anyone can do.
1 year old Macie Jaine Smith from Gunnison, Utah and her mom sent out the word that Macie was raising money for Primary Children's Hospital. They contacted friends, family, and even local businesses. I was absolutely thrilled when I got to announce that our Central Utah People's Choice winner was Macie Jaine Smith who raised $564.00, a very well deserved crown. Total money raised for this charity was $672.00. Who says tiny little girls can do community service. Great job Macie and all of the Central Utah Contestants. I am so proud to call each and everyone of these amazing young ladies as part of my REGAL FAMILY. Keep up the great work!!!
